CASTING

MAIN ACTORS

They will be the main characters. The actors we select, will be able to interpret complex monologues and dialogues. They will appear mostly in the second and third act of the play and will accompany the public to the end of the play, gradually unfolding the complexity of the reality we aim to recreate.

Talkative and improvisational actors, a type of undercover agents, will be infiltrated into the normal audience. Their task is to control the correct progress of the show and cause "a sense of dormant acknowledgement in the public, a passive annoyance that is completely larded up in apathy and familiarity, and leads to nothing but a vague awareness of one’s inexorable inaction".

PLANTED ACTORS

The first step is to organise auditions and choose the cast. The essential cast will number 35. The actors will be divided into three different groups, depending on the role they play in the production. Every group has different qualities, roles and abilities. It is essential that they can transmit different sensations and feelings to the spectators.

Music and sound will be very important elements of the drama. The creation of a sound environment will be managed by a live band, that will be always visible on the stage, probably divided into two cubic elevated structures.

MUSICIANS

ACROBATIC CHORUS

Acrobats or actors with great physical aptitudes will play the minor roles (policemen, super heroes, armed robbers etc.) and they will make the scene interesting and eventful. Another

important function they will perform is the manipulation of the scenography, especially of the bigger objects.
